For guests wishing to explore beyond downtown Detroit, rental cars are readily available and offer a convenient way to discover the surrounding area. However, if you plan to spend your visit primarily in downtown Detroit, a rental car is not necessary, as many hotels, restaurants, and attractions are easily accessible on foot or via Uber and Lyft.
